The Revenue Integrity Contract Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for supporting management in all aspects of maximizing the collections of underpayments identified by the Contract Management software. They are responsible for running Underpayment Variance Reports for the Contracts loaded in the Contract Management System and performing collections and collection follow-up. They are responsible for identifying trends and or any issues or problems of the contract loading that could be identifying false underpayments. This position requires a working knowledge of the Revenue Cycle and the ability to evaluate and analyzing identified underpaid accounts for possible billing issues and or contract issues. They should report any issues to the Revenue Integrity Contract Reimbursement Manager and assist in the resolution. They must have knowledge of Hospital or Physician Billing and collection background, general office procedures, PC skills including spreadsheet applications and payer website navigation. They must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing with peers, management, payers and other departments. Good communication skills, conflict resolution skills, and problem-solving skills are critical for this position.
