The Liaison will facilitate communication with patients and family members to resolve potential communication conflicts and improve patient satisfaction through compassionate advocacy. The Liaison will serve as a resource for the patients, family members and Imaging staff. The Liaison will be under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Imaging Services and will be subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.
Contact hospital inpatients and outpatients who are scheduled that day for imaging studies/procedures.
Provide information regarding type of study and approximate time of study/procedure.
Create a connection with patients and family members.
Be accessible as a resource for patients,families and staff.
Educate patients as necessary on type of study or procedure.
Coordinate information/updates between patients/families and Imaging department staff as necessary.
Address communication opportunities as they arise
Provide service recovery on an as needed basis.
Educates Imaging Department staff staff on AIDET; monitors staff and patient relations.
Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
Skills and proficiency in the technical field of Radiologic Technology. Such proficiency is acquired through completion of a formal education program in Radiologic Technologic (ARRT) that is accredited by AMA.
Consistently smiles and is pleasant to patients, visitors and co-workers. Cheerfully adheres to and promotes the "Quality Plus" and departmental "Service Excellence" expectation standards.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:
Must have a minimum of one to two years experience working in the Imaging Services Department with a working knowledge of all Imaging modalities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of policies and procedures of the hospital and working knowledge of all Imaging modalities.
